SPDC in collaboration with SDPI signed a contract with Southern Voice to undertake their study National Level Implications of Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): A Case of Pakistan. The study involves detailed document review and interviews of experts and government officials.
SPDC signed a contract with the National University of Ireland for providing technical assistance on a three-year, multi-country (i.e. Pakistan, Ghana & South Sudan) study entitled Socio-Economic Costs of Violence Against Women and Girls. SPDC is a partner of National University of Ireland - Galway for conducting this study in Pakistan.
The scope of the study is to estimate the social and economic costs of VAWG, and particularly capture the direct and indirect tangible costs as well as the direct intangible costs of the impact of VAWG on individual well-being and social cohesion. The research spearheaded by the National University of Ireland (NUI) is undertaken in three countries – Ghana, Pakistan and South Sudan.
